Devonport – “The Gateway to Tasmania” is located on the North West Coast with a population of approx 25,000.  The Mersey River divides East & West Devonport and is home to the passenger & vehicle ferries Spirit of Tasmania 1 & 2 which run daily between Melbourne & Devonport.  The Devonport CBD is situated less than a 5 minute drive from the ferry terminal and approx 15 minutes from the airport with daily flights directly to Melbourne.  Devonport has a stable workforce incorporating industries  such as construction, manufactuing, agriculture, fishing, transport & storage, wholesale & retails trading, finance, recreation etc.  There are many cafes & restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and a diverse range of retail stores.  A walking/cycling track can be found near the CBD which makes its way along the Mersey River, past beaches, the Don College & on to the Olympic Pool.

Spreyton is approx 6km from the Devonport CBD and is a growing residential area with new subdivisions together with established neighbourhoods.  It is also home to the Devonport Golf Club and a prime area for apple and cherry orchards.
